CHEP is seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and self-driven Business Development Executive to join our team in Ireland.
You must be familiar with field-based sales roles and able to work on your own initiative and to agreed targets, but know when to call in the support of a world class team when needed.
This role is perfect for individuals who thrive on winning new business, able to switch between shop floor and corporate with ease, and are excited by the prospect of working with a mix of start up enterprise, as well as some of the world’s largest companies.
As a Business Development Executive, your role will extend beyond mere transactions.
You’ll be tasked with nurturing your prospects to understand the benefits of CHEP’s pallet pool, educating them on future innovations, and ensuring both the customer and our account management team are set up for success and delivery ensuring the customer enjoys CHEP’s world class customer experience.
Your target customer set will be varied and could include manufacturers of many of the products you see on shelves everyday, the materials suppliers who provide them, and logistics and warehousing companies to get them where they need to be, at the time they need to be there.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their ability to network in the field (and other tools which will be provided) and understands the importance of meeting in person and the benefits this brings in understanding our customers,able to plan their own diary for success and acts upon generated for leads from a variety of internal sources with speed and precision to close.

At least 3 years experience within new business development
Experience in a field based / customer facing role
A proven track record of delivering sales growth
Regional experience and knowledge of the market in the
A solid level of IT proficiency; MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Salesforce(and other CRM) knowledge will be an advantage
Degree or higher level qualification (Business/Supply Chain/Economics would be an advantage)
