Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Partner with state, tribal, local, and territorial health departments through onboarding, migration, and troubleshooting by learning their infrastructure and data flows firsthand.
  • Diagnose whether a blocker is a product gap, configuration issue, or one-off integration, and build the required solution.
  • Write targeted scripts, configurations, and integrations that onboard jurisdictions without forking the core product.
  • Work with platform, data, and epidemiology teams to distinguish core-supported functionality from jurisdiction-specific integrations.
  • Identify patterns across jurisdictions and communicate them to the product team so recurring solutions become supported features.
  • Build secure, compliant software that meets federal security standards and defends against common vulnerabilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Full-stack development experience with Java and Python.
  • Experience delivering technology in government, regulated industries, or other public-benefit settings.
  • A foundational understanding of data engineering, including using different datastores for persistent data in software systems.
  • Familiarity with building secure, compliant software and defending against common vulnerabilities.
  • A track record of staying aligned and accountable on remote teams.
