  • Five or more years of proven related work experience

  • Level 1 Vibration Certification, Level 1 Thermography Certification required for Predictive
  • Locksmith Certification strongly preferred for Structural
  • Electrical license required (if mandated by applicable state to perform work)
  • State Fire Alarm Certification, Level 1 Thermography Certification strongly preferred for Electrical
  • Universal CFC Certification, State Stationary Engineer's license or equivalent course work required for HVAC
  • State Stationary Engineers license or equivalent course work required for HVAC Operations
  • Universal CFC Certification required for Plumbing
  • BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) is preferred for Cabling
  • Demonstrated knowledge of facility maintenance troubleshooting; understanding of all building, electrical, fire, OSHA, EPA and other federal, state and local codes and regulations; planning, installation, maintenance, testing, repair and operation of building, electrical, HVAC and life safety systems; and able to develop and implement facility maintenance programs and procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance service and repairs in a specialized technical and skilled trade for Nationwide facilities
  • Develop and ensure maximum operational efficiency of facilities and equipment
  • Ensure all systems, including utility infrastructure, are fully operational and inspected according to accepted standards and practices
  • Act as a specialist for specific maintenance tasks for service and repairs in specialty areas
  • May be a team lead of a staff responsible for the operation and maintenance of HVAC and life safety systems
  • Provide advice and guidance to complete complex projects
  • Respond to customer service requests and respond to all maintenance, fire systems and emergency calls
  • Assist the supervisor with work team issues including safety compliance and training, workflow planning and day-to-day administration
  • Remain familiar with and follow all federal, state and local safety and environmental laws and regulations
