Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Registration with Missouri Board of Pharmacy or eligible to become registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
  • Previous pharmacy tech experience is required.
  • Must have attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, ability to prioritize and problem solve, ability to mathematically compute and convert drug concentrations and doses.
  • Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Procure and distribute medications per order, pharmacist request or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain adequate documentation as required by law and regulation.
  • Contribute to the effective operation of the department.
  • Participate in the quality improvement activities of the department.
  • Maintain competence required for current job title/position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the director.
