Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Health and Safety is required
  • CRSP Designation or scheduled to complete designation
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in Health and Safety is required
  • Food safety, sanitation, and kitchen health and safety experience is required
  • Experience with OHS cultural turn arounds; specifically in remote locations considered an asset
  • Possess a logical, methodical approach to his/her work and must be accurate when taking measurements and recording figures
  • Experience and knowledge of health, safety and environment management systems are an asset
  • HSE data input, analysis, and report generation/manipulation skills are an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak and write French would be considered an asset
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are essential
  • Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license
Responsibilities
  • Completing regular site audits, providing staff training and overall stewardship of the HSEQ program
  • Develops, implements, reviews and updates company procedures, manuals and other HSE documentation as required
  • Completes work site inspections, evaluate workplace procedures, complete job and workplace hazard analysis as well as develop work site procedures
  • Manages and/conducts site inspections and audit programs
  • Follow-up to ensure closure of corrective actions and drive continuous improvement
  • Assists in the processing, tracking, recording and reporting of accidents and incident data (e.g. total reportable injury rate, lost time injury rate, etc.)
  • Instructs and coaches site and by extension Frontec on the importance of HSEQ related responsibilities as defined by Company policy, as well as federal and provincial regulations
  • Monitors and tracks changes and updates in HSEQ legislation
  • Manage the site ERP program, from annual updates to mock and tabletop drills
  • Compile data and assists in the preparation of periodic KPI reporting and all HSE reports

ATCO Acquires NRB for $40 Million
