Description:
The Senior Attorney Recruiting Manager is responsible for overseeing the recruitment and hiring of lateral partners, senior counsel and associates as well as entry-level and summer associates in assigned offices (New York and Stamford). This position has primary responsibility for effectively managing our lateral partner recruiting efforts in assigned offices. The incumbent in this position reports to the firm’s Director of Legal Recruiting and works closely with section, practice group and office leadership to recruit, hire and integrate attorneys at all experience levels.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and implementing effective recruiting strategies.
- Establishing and maintaining search firm relationships.
- Serving as a resource for candidates.
- Actively guiding candidates and firm partners and leaders through the recruiting process.
- Planning candidate interviews.
- Conducting due diligence.
- Facilitating hiring decisions.
- Drafting employment agreements.
- Developing and implementing lateral integration plans.
- Keeping apprised of market conditions and trends.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with career services offices at law schools.
- Managing the summer associate program.
- Maintaining recruiting documentation and records.
- Special project and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years’ experience in legal recruiting, including lateral partner recruiting experience.
- Understanding and familiarity with the legal industry and assigned markets.
- Ability to multi-task in a busy work environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
- Sound judgment and discretion.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize.
- Attention to detail.
- Familiarity with LawCruit.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; JD degree preferred
This position may be filled in New York. In accordance with the New York State Pay Transparency Law and New York City Human Rights Law, the pay range for this position New York State is $125,400-$225,600/yr, and in New York City is $150,400-$225,600/yr. These ranges are specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. An individual’s actual compensation will depend on the individual’s qualifications and experience.
