Requirements
  • A valid driver's license and insurability to drive are required.
  • The employee must maintain working knowledge of parts inventory.
  • The employee must complete the Service Advisor New Team Member Training within the first 90 days of employment.
  • The employee must be able to work efficiently on the computer system.
  • The employee must be able to read, write, and perform math skills.
  • The employee must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings when required by business needs.
  • The employee must have reliable transportation and a phone.
  • The employee must be able to communicate in English, if applicable.
  • The employee must be able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • The employee must be able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
  • The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and frequently stand, walk, use their hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with their hands and arms, talk, and hear; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may also be required.
Responsibilities
  • Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, competent customer service.
  • Coordinate the service center's scheduling and workflow.
  • Create estimates and work orders, finalize payments, follow cash-handling policies, order parts, and collect payment for jobs.
  • Answer customer questions about service outcomes and consult with technicians as needed.
  • Use marketing and sales strategies to finalize transactions.
  • Consult with technicians about needed repairs and communicate those needs to customers.
  • Increase knowledge of products and services to understand industry needs.
  • Communicate customer needs to technicians and technician information to customers.
  • Keep customer-facing items clean, stocked, and up to date.
  • Receive merchandise, stock showroom products, and update their pricing.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of the Boss Shop Warranty process.
  • Assign work to technicians within company guidelines.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for employees and customers.
  • Report for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
