LNEG and LGC are organising an international workshop on ocean-inspired strategies at SEA TECH WEEK 2026. Published on 17 July, 2026 Updated on 17 July, 2026 The National Laboratory for Energy and Geology (LNEG, Lisbon) and the Laboratoire de Génie Chimique (LGC, Toulouse) are organising, as part of SEA TECH WEEK 2026, the workshop 'Marine-Inspired Strategies for Enhancing Materials Durability' (STW40), to be held on the morning of 8 October in Brest, France. SEA TECH WEEK is one of the leading international events dedicated to maritime science and technology, bringing together experts, researchers and companies from across Europe in Brest between 6 and 8 October to discuss innovation in the service of the ocean. This year, Portugal is the guest country for the event, which guarantees free registration for Portuguese participants. The STW40 workshop, one of the workshops proposed and selected for inclusion in the event's official programme, forms part of the ALGAPROTEC project (LGC & LNEG), a bilateral cooperation initiative between France and Portugal, funded by the CNRS IRP programme (International Research Project).
