Requirements
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
  • Must have a minimum of two years of photography experience or two years of experience working as an Ophthalmic Technician.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Must have completed two-year training in photography or medical/biomedical photography, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
  • Must comply with background check and Live Scan requirements.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must comply with applicable vaccination, smoking and tobacco, and drug-free-environment policies.
  • Must provide proof of work authorization.
  • Must hold Basic Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
  • Operate cameras and perform multiple ophthalmic imaging procedures to assist physicians in documenting, tracking, and treating eye disease.
  • Assist with specialized patient testing, including OCT Cirrus and Spectralis, IOL measurements using Applanation, Lenstar, and IOL Master, corneal topography using Pentacam, Wavescan, and Atlas, retinal photography, fluorescein and ICG angiography, and slit-lamp photography.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience working as an Ophthalmic Photographer.
  • Previous experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.
  • Knowledge of university and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
  • Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification.
