About the Position

This position is responsible for providing the highest level of systems and applications support on the Enterprise Technology & Innovation’s (ETI) IT Service Management (ITSM) system, ServiceNow. This includes providing administrative duties for the ITSM system, developing tools to support the administration of the ITSM system, supporting ITSM best practice implementation in ServiceNow or other supporting systems, performing ITSM database data management, and fully supporting the development of reports and dashboards in ServiceNow.

We Require

• Four years of hands-on experience administering and supporting ServiceNow in a large-scale enterprise environment

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, project management, public or business administration, or a related field

• A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value

• Five years of enterprise-level ServiceNow administration and development experience

• Three years of experience developing ServiceNow solutions in a large-scale organization

• Strong background in IT Asset Management (ITAM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), including HAM and SAM Pro

• Familiarity with the Workspace Delivery module and advanced ServiceNow modules.

• ITIL Foundation Certification

• ServiceNow System Administrator or Implementation Specialist Certification

• Other relevant certifications in ITSM platforms such as Remedy, HP Service Manager, or Cherwell

Job Contributions

• Lead the administration of the ServiceNow platform, including the configuration and customization of modules, workflows, and dashboards to ensure optimal performance and alignment with organizational objectives

• Monitor and manage the ITSM system’s operational queue, resolving incidents, fulfilling service requests, and implementing changes in a timely and effective manner

• Drive the adoption of ITSM best practices within the platform, identifying and implementing enhancements that improve system efficiency, user experience, and alignment with ITIL standards

• Design, develop, and deploy ServiceNow solutions that meet the evolving needs of our users, including new catalog items, process automation, and system integrations

• Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide expert advice, and deliver tailored solutions that support business goals

• Prioritize and manage a backlog of enhancement requests, balancing day-to-day operational needs with longer-term strategic initiatives

• Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards that provide visibility into ITSM performance, trends, and areas for improvement

• Other job duties as assigned

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office or teleworking

• May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to twenty-five (25) pounds

• Ability to work on-call or during unscheduled work hours when the job requires it

• Travel to and from job-related locations during the course of a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on county business, is required
