  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering, or foreign equivalent education
  • 5 years post baccalaureate progressive experience working in the automotive industry in the position of System Technical Project Lead, Technical Project Lead, Senior Systems Engineer, Onboard Diagnostics Engineer, Technical Program Manager, Project Manager, Embedded Controls Engineer or other systems engineering positions
  • 5 years’ experience in Powertrain product engineering
  • 5 years’ experience in planning, developing, and managing processes and work products for product engineering design & development to adhere to Quality Management for programs, Risk management, Issue management & Change Management
  • 5 years’ experience in full cycle product launch from concept to start of production within engineering product development processes & Leading component & subsystem engineering
  • 5 years’ experience working with automotive customers
  • 5 years’ experience working with ALM PLM tools for change management, requirements management, product development including IBM RTC, DOORS, PLM Team center
Responsibilities
  • Create, establish, and manage automotive programs baseline and scheduling, analyzing critical path and technology risks in Electrical and Electronics (EE) subsystems and components, including interfaces
  • Manage Powertrain product engineering, EE subsystems engineering, and components, including Inverters, Control boards/Electronic Control Units (ECUs), Connection Systems, Traction Motors, Actuator Motors, Sensors, High Voltage and Low Voltage Harnesses, Cooling pumps & service to release designs and drawings
  • Interface and manage integration of EE subsystems and components with EDUs and Electrified driveline beam axles. Manage, monitor supplier & customer deliverables
  • Cross-functionally communicate key development updates, change management, risk management, and timeline on projects and present to management team on a weekly basis
  • Manage, track, and drive to resolution project EE and interface issues, following 8D methodologies
  • Conduct stakeholder reviews and weekly engineering project status reviews throughout product development process, with focus on compliance to component technical requirements, design standards and project expectations. Follow Quality Management through ASPICE & ISO26262 activities into programs
  • Support Requirements development through DOORS, cost estimating / engineering and purchasing through IBM RTC and PLM Team center in meeting costed bill of materials (BOM) targets and comprehend cost drivers of part designs for automotive customers
