Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
  • Three to five years of related experience is required.
  • Strong accounting skills and solid knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles are required.
  • Management, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in an accounting or finance role is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for the financial accounting department and manage the Enterprise's financial statements.
  • Provide timely accounting and support services to the companies within the Enterprise.
  • Interface and communicate with Enterprise management.
  • Oversee budgets and work with department heads on the budgeting process.
  • Lead and contribute to meetings.
  • Train and develop staff, and identify training needs and curriculum deficiencies.
  • Manage corporate monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial reporting processes and requirements.
  • Manage the annual external audit process.
  • Manage financial accounting processes, including drafting and recording journal entries, managing trial balances, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements and related protocols, maintaining subsidiary ledgers and fixed assets, managing accruals and prepaid balances, performing bank reconciliations, and analyzing financial reports.
  • Work with operations department heads to ensure operational activity is appropriately identified and reflected in financial statements.
  • Manage preparation of federal and state tax return support schedules, including M-1s and apportionment factors.
  • Oversee the Enterprise overhead budgeting process, including working with department heads to ensure budgets and expenses are appropriately recorded, budget variances are identified and explained, and budget changes are communicated to the respective departments.
  • Assist with required information for annual state license renewals and government surveys.
  • Assist with Enterprise special projects by coordinating with management, performing accounting research, meeting with department heads, and creating or providing required deliverables.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Certified Public Accountant license, including a fifth year of college or university, is preferred.
  • A Master's degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • More than five years of experience is preferred.
  • Experience in an Engineering, Procurement and Construction company or a large industrial concern is preferred.
  • Experience with companies such as Fluor, CB&I, Bechtel, KBR, CH2M Hill, WorleyParsons, or similar Engineering, Procurement and Construction companies is preferred.
