  • 6+ years related experience including a minimum of 3+ years of designing, building and maintaining high quality, secure software in IT
  • Must fit in the Agile development environment
  • Education: A combination of education and work experience may be considered; Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinker and demonstrated problem solving techniques
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for understanding our business and IT strategy and ensuring that we have the skills and capabilities required to deliver on our business and technical commitments; focus on continuous improvement within the area and lead IT initiatives and special projects within their portfolio of applications
  • Develops guidelines for other software engineers that helps them build and implement code that is scalable, stable and secure
  • Acts as a hands-on software engineer who can write quality code, assist with problem solving, root cause analysis, trouble shooting and coaching
  • Understands the big picture from a business standpoint within the context of the application
  • Writes technical blogs and be active in Open Source Community
  • Leads Agile software development efforts as a Technical Leader
  • Coaches other software engineers on practices such as Test Driven Development, Acceptance Test Driven Development and pair programming
  • Understands advanced concepts of Containers, Micro-Services, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration, and guides the team to set up a DevOps environment for the applications they build and support
  • Designs and develops highly scalable applications in AWS cloud using tools like CloudFormation Templates, EC2, SWF, ELB, Lambda, S3, RDS/DynamoDB and others
  • Reviews and takes actions based on application metrics, including but not limited to code quality, business metrics and performance metrics
  • Creates load and performance testing strategy and perform advanced performance tuning
  • Configure Edifecs solution and monitor and troubleshoot Edifecs Transaction Manager transmissions
  • Create/update maps and guidelines using Edifecs tools such as EDIFECS SpecBuilder, Map Builder, EAM as per functional logic
  • Create maps and guidelines (xml, DFF, PFF) for Healthcare EDI transactions like 837, 834, 835, 820 transactions
  • Responsible for design, development, and implementation of Edifecs solution
  • Excellent understanding of technical and business challenges relating to Edifecs product upgrades
  • Able to configure the Edifecs tools, and understand systems integration, application, technical behavior, and business / technical requirements
  • Experience with Edifecs Healthcare 9.x suite, and Healthcare Payer systems
  • Detailed understanding of EDI Healthcare transaction sets, e.g. 270/271, 820, 834, 837 I/P/D, 835
  • Knowledge of software development / implementation processes
  • Able to explain technical solutions and fixes to stakeholders
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot transmissions in Edifecs Transaction Manager
  • Proficient with Monitoring tools in EDI and remediating issues in result to performance issues
  • Experience with development of Groovy Script
  • Preferred to have production support knowledge on Edifecs Applications
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira and other operational and development tools for bug tracking, Agile practices, and ITSM for services you support is highly useful and recommended
  • ITIL understanding with experience in an Enterprise environment is recommended
  • Agile skills and understanding of Dev/Ops Agile is recommended
  • HIPAA and other health care compliance experience is recommended
  • Training from Edifecs and knowledge of Edifecs system and tools is recommended
