Thailand Focus 2026 spotlights Thailand's potential to attract global investors.

Thailand Focus 2026 spotlights Thailand's potential to attract global investors. PUBLISHED: 24 Aug 2026 at 17:07 The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is well-prepared to host "Thailand Focus 2026: Reignite Thailand", with the highlight on the attractiveness of investment in Thailand. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas will preside over the opening ceremony, joined by Minister of Energy Akanat Promphan. Top executives from the business sector and capital market & money market, and senior executives of listed companies will present and provide information on investment opportunities and growth of Thai businesses, with strategic synergy to reinforce confidence among institutional investors worldwide. The event will take place from Aug 26-28, at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, Bangkok. SET President Asadej Kongsiri said the SET has continuously moved forward to present updated information on the potential of the Thai capital market to institutional investors. Year-to-date, the SET team has engaged with institutional investors across several key global investment hubs. Significantly, this year's Thailand Focus is considered a flagship event that welcomes institutional investors worldwide to listen to first-hand information from 78 Thai listed companies across all industry sectors, listed on both the SET and the MAI, as well as policy perspectives from the government and relevant stakeholders directly. On top of all these, the event will also serve as a forum where the government, capital market, listed companies, and institutional investors can have dialogues discussing issues, exchanging ideas, and building mutual understanding in terms of perspectives and contexts, leading to the development of policies as well as practical products and services that cater to investor demand worldwide. In addition, Thailand Focus 2026 will also be a stage to enhance the visibility and growth potential of market participants. Among the participating listed companies, 16 companies from the JUMP+ project will provide information on their three-year plans purposely set to increase business value, inclusive of plans for business operations, governance, and greenhouse gas (GHG) management. On the ASEAN front, the event will set up a stage for senior executives from six ASEAN stock exchanges (Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand), as well as ASEAN listed companies, to share information on the connectivity of capital for growth across the region. "The investment climate in the Thai stock market has recently been exceptionally well-performed, with the SET Index increasing by almost 30 percent since the beginning of the year, ranking fourth highest globally. This clearly reflects investor confidence, amid such supporting factors as continued foreign investment inflows, upgraded credit ratings for Thailand revised by leading global rating institutions, and clear direction of government economic policies focusing on long-term growth. Additionally, the Thai business sector remains fundamentally strong with resilience and adaptability potential. From challenges to opportunities, we can manage these amid the fast-changing global economic context and build competitive capabilities," said Mr Asadej. Thailand Focus 2026 event will be presided over by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas, who will deliver a keynote address at the opening ceremony, along with Minister of Energy Akanat Promphan, who will highlight the government's vision, strategies, and policy statements to drive the Thai economy. Moreover, senior executives from the business sector will share their perspectives and project Thailand's growth potential. The success of "Thailand Focus 2026: Reignite Thailand" event will be made possible by SET in collaboration with partners including CLSA Securities (Thailand) Limited, DBS Vickers Securities (Thailand) Co, Ltd, and Kiatnakin Phatra PCL in partnership with BofA Securities, Inc and UBS Securities (Thailand) Ltd. This exclusive event will be organised from Aug 26-28, at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, Bangkok. Investors and interested parties can watch the live broadcast of the first day of the seminar, Aug 26, from 9.30 am to 4pm via Facebook & YouTube: SET Thailand, as well as the SET website: www.set.or.th/thailandfocus.
