Requirements
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
  • 7-10 years of professional experience
  • C++ development in large codebases
  • Real-time software development
  • Linux fundamentals and system architecture knowledge
  • Ability to understand complex hardware/software systems and interactions
  • Previous leadership and management experience
Responsibilities
  • Mentor, lead and grow the Hardware-in-the-Loop testing team
  • Set team OKRs and work cross functionally across the organization to build strong relationships with software, hardware, vehicle reliability, product, and release engineering
  • Customer focused mindset with the ability to evolve and adapt testing strategies to software and hardware needs and align accordingly to company milestones
  • Create real-time software modules to induce and verify fault conditions in the Aurora Driver
  • Work with Software, Hardware, and Safety Engineers to develop system verification test plans
  • Contribute to the design of hardware-based test strategies to exercise the Aurora Driver
  • Implement high-throughput, real-time sensor playback mechanisms to reproduce complex real-world scenarios
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with lidar, radar, or camera systems
  • Experience with CANBus architecture
  • Experience with real-time simulation
