Requirements
  • Basic mathematical skills are required.
  • Basic computer experience is required.
  • Blow mold experience is required.
  • Completion of Altium Production/Machine Operator training within 90 days of hire date is required.
  • The employee must be able to frequently stand, walk, use hands to grasp, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must be able to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Personal protective equipment is required in the production department and other designated areas.
Responsibilities
  • Operate blow-mold, polyethylene terephthalate, injection molding, grinder, trimmer, and conveyor equipment.
  • Follow safe work practices, wear correct personal protective equipment, and comply with safety policies and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Follow company General Manufacturing Policies and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes within the plant.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of clutter.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities and mechanical changes involving molds, necks, and blow pins.
  • Operate blow-mold and polyethylene terephthalate machines to produce quality bottles.
  • Follow quality-control and blow-mold process procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process problems.
  • Perform bottle inspections, including drop tests for designated lines.
  • Inspect bottle quality during production, packaging, and labeling.
  • Perform audits, weighing, and quality checks.
  • Adjust equipment or processes to meet product specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on blow-mold and support equipment.
  • Escalate bottle abnormalities, defects, and quality issues immediately.
  • Monitor packaging-material supply levels and replenish materials as needed.
  • Pick up dropped bottles, place them into bins, and place them into a grinder when needed.
  • Ensure correct labeling, bottle descriptions, and product packaging according to customer requirements.
  • Move finished goods to designated areas.
  • Prepare and document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, and line efficiencies.
  • Prepare maintenance-request forms and document equipment repairs.
  • Receive task instructions from the Lead Operator or Supervisor and seek assistance with unusual problems.
  • Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or General Education Development credential is preferred.
