Requirements
  • Juris Doctor Degree and a license to practice law in the state where the position is located.
  • 8 years experience as an attorney with demonstrated understanding/experience of the health care or insurance field.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Negotiation and diplomacy skills.
  • 3-5 years recent experience in health care insurance state regulatory law (preferred).
  • Experience with Medicare Supplement regulatory issues (preferred).
  • Strong business collaboration and writing skills, including the ability to clearly provide legal counsel and solutions to complex issues (preferred).
Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating legal guidance to HCSC on state regulatory matters outside of HCSC’s five core states.
  • Provide sound, actionable legal advice on regulatory and operational matters.
  • Serve as a partner to business leaders in developing adaptive strategies to support HCSC’s established business and to further its growth while advancing HCSC’s goal of expanding access to quality, cost-effective health care.
