Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience as an HR professional, ideally within a large, globally matrixed organization operating across Asia Pacific.
  • Knowledge of labour regulations across Australia is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Psychology, Industrial Relations, Business, or another related field is required.
  • Strong proficiency in artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT and Claude, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • The candidate must have appropriate approval to work in Australia.
  • The candidate must complete a Criminal and Bankruptcy check prior to commencing employment.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead human resources business partner for Australia and advise market leaders, talent managers, and stakeholders on people matters.
  • Coach line and talent managers on employee relations matters and provide advice on talent attraction, retention, rewards, and workplace culture.
  • Monitor employee experience and create processes and policies to address challenges, including leading return-to-work efforts.
  • Lead change initiatives, restructures, and employee engagement efforts.
  • Translate enterprise human capital policies into practical local solutions and support adoption of center-of-excellence solutions.
  • Share knowledge and best practices across the human capital team in Asia Pacific and globally.
  • Oversee human capital operations from onboarding through exit management, including data collection, documentation, approvals, and coordination.
  • Monitor process performance, identify risks or bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve timeliness, compliance, and service delivery.
  • Lead, coach, and develop human capital team members and managers.
  • Handle payroll and other operational escalations in partnership with Australian Shared Services.
  • Identify and support automation opportunities across human capital processes in partnership with HR, IT, and Shared Services.
  • Own end-to-end Workplace Gender Equality Agency compliance and the annual Employer Report submission for Australia.
  • Interpret Workplace Gender Equality Agency outcomes and support action planning aligned to diversity, equity, inclusion, and pay-equity priorities.
  • Use data, artificial-intelligence-enabled insights, and digital tools to identify recurring issues and improve resolution of employee and operational matters.
  • Set clear expectations and foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
  • Manage employee relations matters from start to finish in accordance with internal and external regulations.
  • Lead employee-relations and compliance investigations and audits.
  • Lead terminations and exits of senior employees.
  • Escalate material risks and complex matters and collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and other control functions to resolve them.
