  • High School or GED, Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years administrative office experience required
  • 3-5 years related hospital and/or managed care credentialing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Medical Staff & Provider credentialing and its direct impact
  • Excellent computer skills; credentialing software system experience preferred
  • Detail oriented with above average organizational skills
  • Plans and prioritizes to meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills; communicates clearly and effectively
  • Able to work independently and work as part of team to accomplish tasks
Responsibilities
  • The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and verifying all aspects of the credentialing process for healthcare practitioners for the AlbanyMed CVO.
  • This includes maintaining the integrity of the provider database for accurate information and a reporting of credentialed providers.
  • In addition, this position shall provide input for process design to create workflow efficiencies as well as supporting other implementation activities.
  • This position will work with various other departments to ensure accuracy of information received as well as send data to other receiving areas.
  • Works in a team-based department to complete all compliance & time sensitive requirements necessary to maintain the organization’s accreditation.
