Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, both as a leader of teams and as a leader of projects - dynamic, strategic and resourceful
- Demonstrated experience with creating processes from the ground up and building buy-in from stakeholders of all levels of the organization
- Strong understanding of the components necessary to produce large scale conventions
- Ability to multitask and proactively manage assigned projects with minimal supervision
- Able to work under pressure and under challenging timelines
- Team player with ability to work with various groups across the organization
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to details, and ability to multitask between different projects
- Strong understanding of project management process and concepts
- PMP certification preferred
- Proficiency with Workfront preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Five+ (5+) years of relevant experience, plus a minimum of one (1) year of management experience or a demonstrated equivalent level of expertise
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience

Responsibilities
- Job Title: Manager, Convention Project Management
- Job Summary: This role is responsible for building the project management discipline within the Event team and serves as the program manager for Pokémon's tentpole events. This role will manage and direct the work of a team of project managers; providing mentorship and oversight for multiple projects or programs
- FLSA Classification (US Only): Exempt
- People Manager: Yes
- Develop standards, processes, and tools used for effective project management, as well as set and manage quality targets
- Manages projects that span across both internal and external clients and teams
- Monitor project scopes, budgets, schedules, staffing, communications, outside vendors, and contractual deliverables, accounting for interdependencies
- Address internal or vendor issues that may impede project delivery and develop solutions to mitigate
- Track at risk metrics and facilitate actions to keep projects on track
- Establish data collection and reporting processes to capture key metrics of project activities and to provide periodic reporting
- Manage and track milestones and KPIs for a portfolio of projects
- Assign studies and relay specific internal client needs to a team of project managers
- Conduct training and onboarding for new project managers
- Provide guidance and mentoring to a team of project managers
