People Moves: Aon CFO Reese Steps Down After 2 Years, Succeeded by Virana in Interim Role; Miller Bermuda Taps Gallagher's Vickers as Senior Director, Property. Aon CFO Reese Steps Down After 2 Years, Succeeded by Virana in Interim Role Insurance broker Aon plc announced that Edmund Reese is stepping down from his role as executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately, to pursue opportunities outside the firm. He first joined Aon in Aon appointed Nadin Virani as interim CFO, effective immediately, and Reese will serve as senior adviser to Aon President and CEO Greg Case, through August 16, 2027, to support the transition. Reese joined Aon in June 2024, while Virani joined the company in January 2025. Aon said Virani brings deep financial leadership expertise and a wealth of experience in the financial services industry to his new role, having previously served as the firm's global head of Corporate Planning and Analytics with oversight of financial planning and analysis, forecasting processes, cash management and budgeting. Virani will report to CEO Case and lead Aon's Finance organization, while working closely with the Aon Executive Committee to ensure continuity and oversight of the firm's financial strategy. Aon has also engaged a leading executive search firm to conduct a comprehensive internal and external search for a permanent CFO. Prior to joining Aon, Virani served as head of Corporate Planning and Analytics at Broadridge Financial (August 2022 to January 2025). Before that, he had been general manager for the Delta Amex Co-Brand portfolio at American Express, where for 18 years he held a number of CFO positions in London, Frankfurt and New York, supporting areas such as international and U.S. lending, loyalty, insurance and merchant pricing. Vickers joins from Gallagher and brings a wealth of experience across complex property risks, as well as a deep understanding of the direct and facultative market in Bermuda, Miller said. In his new role, Vickers will lead Miller's Bermuda direct and fac offering, working closely with teams in London to broaden the solutions available to property clients internationally. Miller said his appointment marks a significant step in the company's ongoing expansion of its insurance capabilities in Bermuda, with further insurance lines expected to be developed in the region through 2026 and beyond. "Harry's appointment marks another important milestone for our Bermuda platform," according to David Porter, head of Insurance, Miller Bermuda, in a statement. Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Apollo Insurance Solutions Ltd., a Vancouver-based digital insurance broker and managing general agency specialising in tenant insurance across Canada. Financial terms were not disclosed. Apollo operates a proprietary platform using AI to streamline the insurance placement process. Founder Jeff McCann and his team will continue operating from their current location under Dave Partington, head of Gallagher's retail property/casualty brokerage operations in Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. Arthur J. Gallagher & Co reported record revenue growth in its second quarter 2026 earnings call, with total revenue climbing 24% year-over-year. The insurance brokerage and risk management firm achieved 6% organic growth across its combined segments. The brokerage segment posted 26% revenue growth with 5% organic growth, while the risk management division saw 16% revenue growth and 12% organic expansion. The company marked its 25th consecutive quarter of double-digit adjusted EBITDAC growth. During the quarter, Gallagher completed seven tuck-in acquisitions representing approximately $63 million in estimated annual revenue. The firm repurchased roughly 850,000 shares for about $170 million. Property pricing softened in Q2, with renewal premiums down 10%. Chairman and CEO J. Patrick Gallagher attributed the company's growth to strong new business and retention rather than rate increases.
