Requirements

6+ years of experience and strong knowledge in Software Quality Assurance including automation tools to support QA
Experience with automated testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, and TestNG/JUnit
Strong understanding of API integration and web service methods (REST, XML, JSON)
Experience with CI/CD pipeline and DevOps tools such as GitHub, GitOps, Codefresh
Experience with Cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS/Kubernetes
Must have a good understanding and experience in ETL testing by handling high-volume data
Expertise in relational databases and SQL
In-depth understanding of Software QA methodologies and approaches in a software company with short-release cycles
Experience in writing test cases that cover both sanity and in-depth testing including and not limited to boundary, negative, compatibility, and concurrency tests
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

Build, recommend, maintain, and own appropriate frameworks to automate test scenarios
Collaborate with Development Managers, Product Owners, DevOps, and other teams to ensure the highest quality of the product by architecting automation-focused solutions
Use your java skills to manage and augment our built-in-house framework as well as add new cases
Review requirement specifications and technical design documentation to provide timely feedback
Create and improve testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases, and automation test scripts
Identify, document, and verify bugs
Participate actively in functional, system, integration, and regression testing activities
Develop deep expertise in the product
Mentoring junior QA/interns and providing direction for Compass automation

Desired Qualifications

Experience with Atlassian products such as JIRA and Confluence is an advantage
Pharma life sciences industry experience is an asset
Experience with Python is an asset

The Role

Veeva Compass is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer who is passionate about quality and automation to join our rapidly growing team. You will be implementing, maintaining automation solutions, and improving test frameworks. In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting test automation results.

What You’ll Do
