The Tock Marketing team is looking for an experienced Email Marketing Manager to manage our email marketing program, one of our most important marketing efforts. Our team has the exciting responsibility of growing interest and awareness of Tock globally across our top markets and specifically within the restaurant and winery industries and our email program contributes to that ongoing awareness in each of the local markets.
The team takes a data-driven approach to identify the most effective marketing channels. We pride ourselves on test and learn strategies and aren’t afraid to be a bit audacious. The team is creative and passionate about helping not only our customers succeed in a very competitive market, but also helping guests discover and experience something uniquely delicious.
You will report directly to the Director of Marketing and will be based in Chicago.
You’ll Get To…
- Manage Tock’s email marketing strategy and rhythm
- Be a subject matter expert and provide strategy and best practices for email deliverability, content, and builds to ensure performance and guide demand
- Maintain our weekly guest marketing email program, including developing several campaigns, updating audience lists, selecting images, all the way through proofreading and delivery
- Develop an asset library of high-resolution photos for each of Tock’s customers
- Look for creative ways to expand email marketing programs including, but not limited, drip campaigns, abandoned cart campaigns and setting up multiple email campaign workflows to boost guest engagement
- Create and implement A/B tests, analyze results, and advise on improvements with campaign partners
- Perform email rendering tests across devices and email clients to ensure that emails display correctly across our lead database
- Provide regular campaign performance reports for all products including open rate, click rate, conversion rate, unsubscribes, pipeline, etc.
Who We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of email marketing experience; bonus if you have worked within the email service platform, Iterable.
- Someone with experience launching drip campaigns, abandoned cart campaigns and setting up various email campaign workflows to boost guest engagement.
- Knowledge or experience with HTML.
- Type A project management skills.
- Mastery of Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and working knowledge of Salesforce, Google Analytics.

Cash Compensation Range: $90,000 - $227,000 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Tock employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
