- Perform database migrations using 12c container concepts, Data Pump export/import, and RMAN database duplication procedures.
- Use cron and operating-system scripting to support database maintenance, diagnosis, and support.
- Review the existing database implementation and propose, execute, or direct necessary changes.
- Install SQL Server 2012 and 2014 with failover clustering.
- Administer, support, and tune SQL Server databases.
- Analyze the effectiveness of the existing system and communicate reasoned recommendations for continuation, updates, or alternative approaches.
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle 11g and 12c.
- Knowledge and experience with advanced Oracle features including RAC and Data Guard.
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle tools and functions including RMAN, Data Pump, AWR, ASH, ADDM, and Profiler.
- Familiarity with linear referencing systems and how their data is maintained.
- Advanced database and SQL tuning concepts.
