Responsibilities
  • Support the system administration for ARL computers installed in FY20
  • Support design of Army Research Laboratory A2I2 building for systems being delivered in 2024 and future platforms
  • Provide advice for persistent services to support diverse high performance computing (HPC) software stacks, especially AI/ML, for example, using Kubeflow
  • Advise in architectural tradeoffs including NVidia Grace/Hopper, ARM, and new file systems
  • Identify open source software tools and stacks for customer-specific and production platforms
  • Develop and implement software instrumentation to measure and visualize the performance of various systems, sub-systems, and user jobs
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to HPC program system administration team for research, development, and production HPC system
