Requirements
  • Candidates must be qualified veterinarians.
  • Trainees must develop skills in grant writing, in vivo trial design, statistical sciences, biomedical ethics, preclinical regulatory principles, in vitro and in vivo measurement methodologies, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in one-on-one instruction and mentoring to gain direct experience in preclinical research.
  • Receive hands-on instruction in the operating room on basic and complex operative techniques for the musculoskeletal system.
  • Work with implant systems including trauma long bone, spine, total joint replacement, joint resurfacing, craniomaxillofacial, biofilm infection, and regenerative musculoskeletal therapies.
  • Develop and use emerging technologies in clinically relevant investigations involving rats, rabbits, sheep, goats, pigs, and horses.
Desired Qualifications
  • A one- to two-year fellowship duration is preferred.
