Requirements
  • COTA must be fully licensed in Pennsylvania
  • Must have at least one year of experience working with the elderly population
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
  • Commitment to participating in educational training and workshops required for license retention
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant certification (COTA) licensed in Pennsylvania
Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the development of comprehensive, integrated treatment programs for members
  • Executing select treatments in accordance with Occupational Therapy and interdisciplinary Plans of Care
  • Assessing homebound members’ needs, including home visits, comprehensive evaluations and ongoing follow up, as needed
  • Training outside caregivers and family members as well as Senior LIFE staff members in relevant OT protocol and procedures surrounding care plan responsibilities
  • Providing ongoing training and support to members, members’ families and external caregivers for in-home participants, ensuring maximum independence and safety for those not at the center
  • Documenting all member care, executed by the COTA or the Occupational Therapist, and evaluating and updating care plans as necessary
  • Maintaining up-to-date records in Data Pace, ensuring all interdisciplinary team members can review and analyze, as needed
