Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: San Diego, CA
Project Duration: 06 Months (Contract to Permanent)

We are looking for an engineer to lead DevOps for our platform, whose responsibilities include: - Create a reproducible and automated continuous delivery pipeline for local and cloud environments. - Manage the definition and updates to the environment templates and toolset, including instrumentation and monitoring. - Provide visibility of deployment status and history to management and development teams, including adherence to a release schedule. - Maintain deployment management tools and drive integration into overall SDLC toolset - Drive continuous improvement/optimization of the deployment and monitoring process and toolset. - Collaborate with the verification and validation engineers, and SQE, to drive high-quality releases and ensure technical, process, and regulatory requirements are met. - Coordinate periodic security and privacy reviews for the production environment design and configuration. Drive the resolution of any observations and recommendations. - Collaborate and coordinate with Development, Product Ops, IT Ops, and Release Engineering define and automate deployments to local and cloud infrastructure, and to monitor and maintain the desired quality of service.

- 4+ years in DevOps or similar role - 2+ years working with AWS - Proven ability to build and maintain Continuous Delivery pipelines - Expert knowledge of CI/CD toolset (e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.) and environment configuration and automation (e.g. AWS CloudFormation/CloudDeploy, Kubernetes, Docker, Chef, Puppet, etc.) - Expert knowledge of monitoring and logging systems (e.g. ELK, AWS CloudWatch/CloudTrail, Prometheus, DataDog, Splunk, etc.) - Strong scripting/programming skills (in particular for Linux based systems) - Ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment - Ability to drive collaboration among different disciplines (Ops, Dev, QA, PM, etc.) in maintaining and optimizing the deployment process and monitoring system performance
- AWS DevOps and/or SysOps Certification - Experience with SOA/microservice-based systems, based on the MEAN stack - Production experience with containers and cluster management systems - Experience working in healthcare or regulated environment
