A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.

Position Location: Aliso Viejo, CA

As the Validation Engineer, you will:

• Perform validation for infotainment/telematic products by utilizing test benches and vehicles

• Responsible for executing basic sanity checks, customer-found issues, updated specifications from customer, and full test cases

• Analyze test results to determine if products meet specifications

• Create/maintain test cases per product specifications

• Utilize tracking system to report and track product defects

• Test bench setup / SW updates

• Field test / joint field test with OEM

• OEM support (frequent visiting, fixing damaged OEM's HU using update tools, SW status drive)

• Maintain relationships with overseas counterparts to effectively share information and resolve issues

• Support to resolve technical issues

• Support and communicate with R&D team, not only in North America but also in other regions such as Korea

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent

• Ability to travel (Domestic & International)

• Ability to sit in/drive test vehicle for up to 3 hours at a time for testing

Knowledge of:

• Test bench and vehicle setup

• In-car infotainment systems technologies

• Specifications and ability to analyze test results

• Process on how to create test cases with the appropriate structure

• How to interface with the bug tracking system

• Vehicle communication protocols

Ability to:

• Lift/setup benches weighing up to 30 lbs

• Sit in/drive test vehicle for up to 3 hours at a time for testing

• Learn and adapt to new software and hardware tools and technologies

• Work across multiple disciplines (systems, embedded, server, wireless carriers, testing)

• Recognize and mitigate both technical and organizational challenges

• Travel up to 30%

• Desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies

• Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
