Requirements
  • Three or more years of materials planning, production planning, inventory planning, supply planning, or procurement support experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of material requirements planning principles, including lead times, order policies, demand signals, safety stock, minimum/maximum levels, reorder points, and order multiples.
  • Experience creating, releasing, and managing production work orders and purchase order requirements.
  • Ability to evaluate material availability, capacity constraints, and inventory risks and translate them into clear action plans.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including filters, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis to identify gaps, exceptions, and replenishment priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to align Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, Quality, and Engineering on priorities and recovery actions.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities while maintaining accuracy, urgency, and professionalism.
  • High attention to detail and strong discipline in maintaining enterprise resource planning/material requirements planning master data, planning parameters, and transaction accuracy.
  • Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning/material requirements planning systems involving production work orders, item planning parameters, purchase order requirements, and planning modules.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, available capacity, material availability, labor, routings, changeovers, due dates, and value-stream constraints.
  • Translate demand, minimum/maximum levels, safety stock, and material requirements planning signals into timely internal work orders and external purchase order requirements.
  • Release, maintain, and manage internal work orders from creation through completion, ensuring dates, quantities, routings, and material requirements remain accurate.
  • Partner daily with Buyers to execute, confirm, expedite, and track open purchase orders, including supplier confirmations, promise dates, partial shipments, and exception items.
  • Monitor inventory positions against minimum safety stock and replenishment targets; prioritize actions to close shortages and reduce risk to customer orders.
  • Identify and resolve constraints impacting production schedules, work orders, and replenishment plans, including supplier lead-time changes, minimum order quantity or pack-size issues, quality holds, engineering changes, capacity limitations, and material shortages.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service to provide accurate order status, recovery plans, and delivery-date commitments; support improvement of sales-order confirmation cycle time to less than 72 hours.
  • Maintain planning master-data accuracy in enterprise resource planning/material requirements planning systems, including item planning settings, lead times, safety stock, order multiples, reorder points, sourcing information, and planning policies aligned to plan for every part.
  • Support sales, inventory, and operations planning and demand-review activities by providing accurate supply status, inventory risks, capacity concerns, and recovery actions for assigned value streams.
  • Monitor delivery performance, critical shortages, aged work orders, open purchase orders, and schedule adherence; drive timely follow-up and escalation where required.
  • Publish routine reporting on safety-stock attainment, replenishment progress, shortage recovery, inventory health, and schedule execution by value stream.
  • Support inventory accuracy through disciplined transaction management, cycle-count follow-up, root-cause analysis, and correction of recurring planning or data issues.
  • Partner with Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service to reduce recurring shortages, improve replenishment discipline, and strengthen standard work for planning processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience building, maintaining, or improving minimum/maximum, kanban, or other replenishment planning parameters in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing with complex routings, variable demand, and a broad stock-keeping-unit base.
  • Experience coordinating supplier confirmations, lead-time updates, expedites, and recovery plans in partnership with Buyers.
  • Exposure to sales, inventory, and operations planning, capacity planning, finite scheduling, or advanced planning and scheduling tools.
  • Lean or continuous-improvement experience, including standard work, daily management, visual controls, problem solving, and root-cause corrective action.
  • Association for Supply Chain Management Certified in Planning and Inventory Management, Certified Supply Chain Professional, or related supply-chain certification is preferred but not required.
  • NetSuite or comparable enterprise resource planning experience with production work orders, item planning parameters, purchase order requirements, and planning modules.
  • Experience with demand planning, material requirements planning, production scheduling, or advanced planning and scheduling software.
  • Power BI or similar reporting experience.
  • Ability to lead effective daily scheduling, shortage-review, and replenishment-follow-up meetings using Outlook and Teams.

IDEX extends $800M credit facility maturity to 2031

IDEX Corporation has amended its revolving credit facility, extending the maturity date to September 3, 2031, from the previous November 1, 2027. The facility maintains its $800 million principal amount. The agreement, finalised on September 3, 2026, allows for up to $100 million in letters of credit and $50 million in same-day swingline loans. IDEX may request additional lending commitments, capped at a $400 million increase. Bank of America serves as administrative agent, with JPMorgan Chase Bank, PNC Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank as co-syndication agents. The proceeds will fund working capital and general corporate purposes, including refinancing existing debt. The agreement includes standard covenants for senior unsecured credit facilities, featuring a quarterly-tested leverage ratio and restrictions on liens and mergers. Voluntary prepayments are permitted without penalty.

IDEX leads gas and liquid handling stocks with strong Q2 results, shares up 4.3%

IDEX reported Q2 revenues of $920.6 million, up 6.4% year-on-year and exceeding analyst expectations by 1.7%. The company delivered a strong quarter with full-year EPS guidance surpassing forecasts and beating EBITDA estimates. The gas and liquid handling sector showed strength overall in Q2, with 11 tracked companies beating revenue consensus estimates by 2.1% on average. However, next quarter's guidance came in 0.8% below expectations. SPX Technologies led the group with revenues of $679 million, up 22.9% year-on-year, outperforming expectations by 5.8%. The stock gained 4.2% after reporting.

The Health & Science Technologies segment led growth with $415 million in revenue, up 13.6% year-over-year and above the $406.67 million estimate. Fluid & Metering Technologies generated $317.1 million, whilst Fire & Safety/Diversified Products posted $189.9 million. Organic sales growth reached 5%, surpassing the 3.4% analyst estimate. Idex shares have declined 1% over the past month, compared to a 1.9% gain for the S&P 500.
