- Licensed Practical Nurse certification in intravenous therapy is required if required by the clinical area.

- Educate patients and family members in accordance with the established plan of care.
- Serve on at least one nursing council, hospital or medical center committee, task force, or project team to improve patient care or work area service standards.
- Practice safety, environmental, and infection control methods.
- Administer and monitor treatments in accordance with the current treatment plan or as directed by the supervisor.
