We are seeking an experienced and visionary Group Strategy Director to lead strategic initiatives for our TikTok and Lloyds Banking Group accounts. This role is pivotal in shaping communications strategies, driving growth, and delivering outstanding results across various media channels.

Lloyds Banking Group: Lloyds Banking Group is one of the biggest advertisers in the UK, offering a wide range of financial services through brands like Halifax. This role focuses on both retail banking and B2B segments, involving close collaboration with senior clients and delivering innovative solutions in a competitive market.
TikTok: TikTok is an exciting and dynamic client with a strong focus on cultural relevance and innovative campaigns, including their sponsorship of the Olympics. Working on TikTok involves developing groundbreaking strategies that capture the attention of diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Communications Strategy: Produce communications strategies that translate broad business objectives into specific, relevant, and ambitious communications goals.
- Media Strategy: Build media strategies in line with communications goals, detailing the role of different media channels and establishing credible measures for each.
- Direction and Consistency: Set the direction for communications on client business, ensuring it is articulated clearly and simply by every stakeholder associated with the business.
- Advocacy and Activation: Advocate for consistency throughout the activation of strategies, striving to ensure short-term commercial and client realities do not compromise the aims of the work.
- Effectiveness Measurement: Hold yourself and the agency to account through rigorous measurement of communications effectiveness at both campaign and account levels.
- Client Value Articulation: Clearly articulate the value of communications to clients, focusing on the effectiveness of strategic choices.
- Account Management: Work on a stable of accounts, closely collaborating with the respective account lead to ensure the success of client campaigns.
- Mentorship and Development: Use client briefs as opportunities to mentor less experienced planners, develop new planning solutions, and improve agency commercials.
In the First Six Months, You Will:
- Lead key strategic initiatives for TikTok and Lloyds Banking Group, delivering innovative media solutions to achieve client objectives.
- Establish yourself as a key contact for senior clients, ensuring that day-to-day deliverables meet high-quality standards and client expectations.
- Develop strong relationships with planning and channel teams at Zenith, as well as key clients and external stakeholders.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the clients’ target audiences, business goals, and product offerings.
Skills and Experience
- Extensive Media Strategy Experience: Proven track record in a media or brand strategy role, playing a key part in delivering cross-channel campaigns.
- Client Leadership: Experience managing and building strong relationships with senior clients, including CMOs and Marketing Directors.
- Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyse data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
- Mentorship and Team Development: Experience leading and mentoring planning and buying teams, fostering a positive and collaborative culture.
- Innovation and Creativity: Keen understanding of advertising trends and a passion for developing innovative media solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to navigate larger organisations and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
