Requirements
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or another related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of work experience in automotive, aerospace or defense industries
  • Proven experience in systems engineering, robotics, systems analysis, data analysis, or statistical analysis
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive alignment across large organizations
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, with a logic approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization
Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive, stable, traceable requirements to enable algorithm development with clear performance goals in mind.
  • Lead and communicate data analysis to provide product and engineering teams with all the information vital to know why a particular decision is or is not acceptable.
  • Own the development of interfaces across abstraction layers with OEM partners to ensure stable and extensible algorithmic development.
  • Develop methods to analyze and compare the impact of ODDs on relevant performance metrics, translating data and analysis into impactful recommendations.
  • Prototype & pilot new/improved processes to unblock product execution, and mature them to the point where they can be mostly automated and/or delegated.
  • Drive autonomous vehicle safety system verification activities, including architecture and design verification, test strategy development working with the Safety System Integration & Verification Test Lead, and reviewing and prioritizing test results.
