Requirements
  • Recent employment with consulting firms providing familiarity and in-market experience with the global pharmaceutical market.
  • A postgraduate or advanced degree in life sciences, preferably pharma, medicine, or biotechnology, or a relevant field.
  • A track record of professional success with successive stages of advancement or promotion.
  • Proven leadership skills across functional, team, and client contexts.
  • Exceptional command of written and verbal English.
  • Experience successfully managing multiple projects or complex workstreams within projects.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships internally and externally at all levels.
  • Proven analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and presentation skills.
  • A strong understanding of the life sciences and pharmaceutical industry, including recent trends, developments, and current challenges.
  • Delegation and people-management skills.
  • Alignment with the values of collaboration, curiosity, passion, resilience, and a winning mindset.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience for Consultant or at least 7 years of relevant experience for Senior Consultant.
Responsibilities
  • Develop key project deliverables, including qualitative, quantitative, financial, and pharmacoeconomic research, analysis, and synthesis.
  • Use strategic frameworks to conceptualize complex data into compelling, succinct, and actionable insights.
  • Create, adhere to, and manage project plans and budgets, including milestones, delivery timelines, and review sessions, while monitoring capacity, issues, and risks.
  • Scope team roles and successfully deliver assigned responsibilities, such as project management, financial or quantitative analysis, and communications leadership.
  • Manage small teams executing client projects and address performance concerns effectively and early.
  • Ensure deliverable quality through processes such as the four-eye principle, checklists, or formal quality control.
  • Conduct project reviews and provide or seek formal feedback at project close or contract renewal to capture key learnings.
  • Interact with defined client teams to communicate progress, questions, hypotheses, and conclusions; address concerns and flag issues.
  • Ensure client satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Take on practice leadership responsibilities related to recruiting, knowledge management, and pursuit leadership.
  • Conduct research, analyze findings to generate insights, and assemble client deliverables as a member of other project teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working on competitive intelligence, commercial strategy, or market access projects.
  • Depth in one or more therapeutic areas: oncology, neurology, vaccines, immunology, cell and gene therapy, or rare disease.
  • Publications or conference presentations.
