What believers are saying

  • Brightview Northfax secured 75 deposits for 200 units before July 2026 opening, signaling strong DC metro demand.
  • East Brunswick expansion adds 175 units by mid-2028, expanding NJ footprint to 12 locations.
  • WNS digital procurement partnership reduces operational costs across 49 communities through supply chain efficiency.

What critics are saying

  • Sunrise of East Brunswick competes directly with 12th NJ site, risking 45–65% pre-deposit capture loss before mid-2028.
  • Northfax assisted/memory care neighborhoods open six weeks post-licensing, delaying revenue ramp and increasing niche reliance.
  • East Brunswick's 2026–2028 timeline faces 55–75% construction cost overrun risk amid NJ labor and material inflation.

What makes Brightview Senior Living unique

  • Brightview operates 49 communities across eight East Coast states with specialized Wellspring Village™ dementia care.
  • Resort-style amenities like movie theaters, pubs, and art studios distinguish its luxury senior living model.
  • Geographic concentration in high-demand DC metro and NJ corridor markets drives consistent pre-leasing strength.

Brightview Senior earns third mention on Best Workplaces for Women list

Brightview Senior earns third mention on Best Workplaces for Women list. Brightview Senior Living was the only senior living company named to the 2025 Fortune Best Workplaces for Women list released Thursday by Great Place To Work. This is the third year on the list for Brightview, which ranked No. 62 out of 100, and was one of only two companies named in the aging services category. The Baltimore-based company landed at No. 99 in 2022 and No. 48 in 2019. The award follows Brightview's No. 1 ranking on Fortune's Best Workplaces for Aging Services. It also was No. 96 on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For 2025 list and No. 77 on the 2025 PEOPLE Companies that Care list. Various communities also were listed in the Best Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care by U.S. News and World Report 2025. "For most of our history, we have had an extraordinary woman at the helm, modeling the way for women across our organization," Brightview Senior Vice President of Talent Strategies Andrea Griesmar said of Marilynn Duker, former Brightview CEO and current co-chair of the company, and the 2023 McKnight's Women of Distinction Lifetime Achievement Award honoree. "She and so many others have paved an inclusive path, empowering and inspiring - one where every associate, including our exceptional women at every level, has opportunities to lead, to grow and to make an impact." In its employee survey feedback, 91% of associates said the organization was a great place to work, 94% said people treated them fairly regardless of their gender, 93% said they were proud of their workplace, and 91% said they felt management trusted them to do a good job. SCAN Health Plan also made the aging services list, landing at No. 53. The not-for-profit operates Medicare Advantage health plans across multiple states and supports older adults through four medical groups. The Long Beach, CA-based company also made the list in 2024 and 2023. Great Place To Work analyzed survey responses from nearly 605,000 women who work for Great Place To Work Certified companies. To be considered, a company had to employ at least 50 women, have at least 20% of non-executive managers who are women, and have at least one female C-suite executive. To determine the Best Workplaces for Women list, Great Place To Work measured self-identified women's survey responses, compared them to those of their peers, and analyzed the extent to which women's demographic backgrounds or positions within the organization change that experience. Companies with the broadest set of women who reported positive workplace experiences received the highest rankings on the list. In the last year, Great Place to Work surveyed companies employing 8.4 million people in the US, and received 1.3 million survey responses. Of those, more than 605,000 responses were received from female employees at companies eligible for the 2025 Fortune Best Workplaces for Women.
