Requirements
  • A master’s degree and commensurate experience and/or a minimum of five years of relevant experience is required.
  • Relevant experience includes a position of significant operational responsibility in a medical hospital, ambulatory clinic or related institution is required.
  • Knowledge of operations, labor management, strategic planning, budgeting, project planning and satisfaction performance reporting systems and methodologies required.
  • Proven ability to research, gather, synthesize and organize information to produce concise analyses using various resources.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams and have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate complicated policies and procedures and analytical information to a wide variety of audiences.
Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with Cellular Therapy ICCE leadership, assist with projects and initiatives to further the strategic mission and goals of MUSC Health.
  • Initiate and manage projects which aid in coordination and development of operational efficiencies.
  • Demonstrate facilitative leadership skills in managing projects across multiple entities.
  • Manage the development and launching of new cancer clinics across the state.
  • Collaborate with local, divisional, and system resources to help achieve health system business goals.
  • Identify and implement best practices and processes to improve efficiencies and standardization across all Oncology sites leading to improved financial performance, patient experience, quality, and employee engagement.
  • Participate in the development of plans to support growth of revenue and referrals.
  • Collaborate with respective Quality & Safety leader to support quality improvement efforts and achievement of accreditation.
  • Collaborate to ensure highest level of quality, safety, and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Develop business plans and proformas for projects across the health system.
  • Participate in development of financial/operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), regularly monitor scorecards, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor both the operational and financial activities of the Cancer ICCE on an ongoing basis across the health system.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in hospital administration, healthcare administration, business administration, public health or a related graduate level degree is preferred.
  • Understanding of external regulatory requirements and effective compliance assurance methods preferred.
  • Experience with matrixed leadership organizations, LEAN/Six Sigma and project management techniques is strongly desired.
  • Deep and expansive knowledge of both physician productivity and margin per service of physicians.
