Requirements
  • The candidate must have graduated from a master's level state program and NLN approved nurse practitioner program and possess state licensure to practice in the expanded role.
  • The candidate must be a graduate of a state approved program for Physician Assistants and possess national certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • The candidate must possess and maintain eligibility for Drug Enforcement Administration registration and Mass Department of Public Health Controlled Substances Registration.
  • A minimum of two years of experience is required, with ambulatory experience preferred.
  • The candidate must have strong triaging, excellent clear verbal communication, and strong computer and proficient writing skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records and Epic is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work overnight shifts, overnight weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
  • The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Call Center works collaboratively with a team of medical assistants and other advanced practice clinicians in a dynamic, collegial call center setting.
  • Telephone calls range from routine to emergent and may require prescription writing and interaction with an on-call physician.
  • The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant has access to comprehensive patient information via the fully integrated Epic electronic medical record system.
  • The role requires working in a per diem capacity for Atrius Health's Kenmore location, with the possibility of remote work over time.

  • Ambulatory experience is preferred.
