  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent advanced experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, specifically in network and security monitoring or incident response
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and sophisticated cyber threat vectors
  • Extensive experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, SSCP, GSEC, or CISSP
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strategic foresight
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of guiding junior analysts and interfacing with stakeholder groups
  • Strong ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment with strategic oversight
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate effectively and independently in a fast-paced, often high-pressure environments, with a team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Responsibilities
  • Lead monitoring of security alerts from various sources, including EDR, SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and other security platforms
  • Perform in-depth analysis and triage of security events, assessing their severity and potential organizational impact
  • Lead escalation efforts for complex incidents, providing enriched data, context, and strategic recommendations
  • Assist in the advanced configuration and optimization of security tools and solutions
  • Maintain comprehensive and detailed documentation of security events, responses, and investigative findings
  • Collaborate proactively with IT and cross-functional teams to implement and uphold security best practices
  • Provide expert support for security audits, compliance efforts, and vulnerability assessments
  • Stay informed and disseminate knowledge on the latest cyber threat trends, security technologies, and defense strategies.

  • Strong familiarity with identity and access management concepts
  • Awareness of current trends in endpoint security, threat landscapes, and cloud security principles
  • Extensive knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to endpoint and enterprise controls (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS)
  • Experience with and an advanced interest in security automation and orchestration
  • In-depth understanding of incident response processes and procedures
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging security technologies and threats.
