Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related work experience, or an Associate's degree and 4 years of related work experience, or a high school diploma/GED and 5 years of related work experience.
  • Proficiency in interpreting field-constructed drawings and layouts, with knowledge of overhead distribution systems and equipment.
  • Ability to supervise employees and manage productivity.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft technologies, scheduling software, and familiarity with the WMS software suite.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance with environmental laws and regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to plan, budget, track work, and interpret computerized reports for operational decision-making.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work non-business hours during system emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including fire-retardant clothing and a safety harness.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise personnel performing the physical installation, repair, maintenance, removal, replacement, testing, and inspection of overhead conductors, infrastructure, and associated equipment on the electrical distribution system.
  • Ensure work activities are performed safely, efficiently, reliably, and in accordance with established policies, procedures, engineering plans and specifications, and environmental rules and regulations.
  • Implement and enforce Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Department of Transportation, and company safety standards.
  • Direct and monitor crews performing installation, maintenance, and repair of the overhead electric system.
  • Provide coverage for system emergencies and Incident Command System events.
  • Use computer systems to schedule work, track progress, and close out jobs accurately.
  • Inspect completed work, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain crew schedules, oversee training compliance, and ensure accurate time entry and documentation.
  • Conduct on-the-job training, job briefings, and safety inspections, ensuring all personnel attend required training.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and company policies during field operations.
  • Support technology adoption, process improvement, and cost-management initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Encourage teamwork and hold individuals accountable for performance and conduct.
