Responsibilities
  • Staff the restaurant promptly and efficiently with a carefully selected team.
  • Ensure the restaurant environment is safe for team members and guests.
  • Oversee and ensure proper execution of orientation and onboarding.
  • Write, implement, or monitor shift-leader development and performance plans.
  • Make final hiring and separation decisions for the restaurant and ensure proper procedures for hiring, promotions, and separations.
  • Create team-member schedules to maintain staffing levels while considering sales volume, availability, payroll, and overtime costs.
  • Own the performance of the entire team and create a culture of respect, recognition, and reward.
  • Audit operational facets, provide feedback, and develop solutions for improvement.
  • Understand budget and cost trends affecting operations.
  • Create a business plan and perform financial analysis.
  • Control cash, property, products, and equipment.
  • Build sales and control labor and food costs.
  • Meet targets set by Operations Leadership and set goals to drive business metrics.
  • Maintain restaurant operational standards and requirements.
  • Identify and communicate maintenance problems to the Facilities Department.
  • Maintain facilities to company standards.
  • Ensure communication is passed from the District Manager to every restaurant team member.
  • Use company-provided tools to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Leverage support from the Restaurant Support Center.
  • Ensure risk-management issues comply with company standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Some college education.
  • Flexibility to work 50–60 hours per week, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience with food service, retail, or restaurant supervision beyond the minimum qualification.
