Requirements
  • At least 5 years of relevant career experience in UX design, with experience leading design work across multiple features, workflows, or product experiences in a large enterprise or mature startup environment.
  • Exceptional written, storytelling, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to align stakeholders and communicate experience strategy clearly.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating UX craft across interaction design, visual design, strategy, and research, including the ability to solve complex problems and measure solution impact.
  • Ability to define experience strategy for major product areas and establish standards other designers can apply.
  • Strong proficiency in facilitating an iterative process and creating customer journey maps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, research studies, and readouts.
  • Ability to clearly communicate user needs, success metrics, and business impact.
  • Strong proficiency in conducting generative, formative, and/or summative research; interpreting research questions, uncovering trends in data, and creating actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of information architecture principles and WCAG 2.2 accessibility guidelines.
  • Ability to mentor junior and mid-career design staff and collaboratively coach cross-functional product, development, and marketing peers.
  • Mastery of design patterns for web-based and native mobile iOS and Android B2B and B2C software applications.
  • Mastery of modern design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Mural, and Teams; experience with research tools such as Maze, Optimal Workshop, and Qualtrics; and comfort integrating AI-assisted tools such as Figma Make, Claude, and GPT into design workflows.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and high-stakes problems autonomously, with the organizational rigor and prioritization skills to run multiple initiatives at once.
  • A bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related User Experience field.
Responsibilities
  • Own the experience strategy and end-to-end design and research for all Hollow Metal efforts.
  • Lead complex initiatives spanning multiple features, workflows, and product experiences within Hollow Metal and beyond, ensuring decisions align with product objectives and business goals.
  • Craft and drive a forward-looking product vision using generative research to inform the roadmap.
  • Own a recurring opportunity backlog, surface scalable opportunities, validate concepts, and share outcomes with partners.
  • Define and track design and experience key performance indicators that drive outcomes and inform prioritization and roadmaps.
  • Plan, run, and synthesize research using generative, formative, and summative methods, including contextual inquiry, interviews, usability testing, card sorting, and heuristic evaluations.
  • Translate research findings into actionable insights and prioritized recommendations.
  • Build partnerships and drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Facilitate decision-making and partner with product, engineering, and delivery leadership to ensure feasibility and high-quality user experiences.
  • Define, validate, and maintain the information architecture and design standards guiding the team's work.
  • Extend the design system into reusable assets and processes that improve consistency across the product team.
  • Represent UX Services on cross-functional initiatives by translating stakeholder needs into a clear, user-focused approach.
  • Set accessibility and design-quality standards using WCAG 2.2.
  • Explore and responsibly adopt advanced AI-assisted design practices and tools, and share learnings with the team.
  • Shape team ceremonies, including weekly critiques and bimonthly cross-team demos, modeling storytelling and design rationale.
  • Mentor designers through hands-on guidance, design-quality feedback, and career development.

Allegion beats Q2 estimates with $1.15B revenue, stock soars 8.3%

Allegion, a security hardware provider, reported second-quarter revenue of $1.15 billion, beating analyst estimates by 3.1% and marking 12.7% year-on-year growth. The company's non-GAAP earnings of $2.40 per share exceeded consensus estimates by 8.3%. Adjusted EBITDA reached $296.7 million with a 25.8% margin, surpassing expectations by 7.9%. Organic revenue rose 6.9% year on year. Management raised its full-year adjusted earnings guidance to $8.93 at the midpoint, a 1.4% increase. Allegion unveils Schlage XE360 with RealSync at Apartmentalize 2026

Allegion US is unveiling new interoperable electronic access control solutions at NAA Apartmentalize 2026, including integrations between Schlage Zentra and Gatewise platforms. Allegion launches first campus-to-community student housing solution with mobile wallet access

Allegion US has launched Campus-to-Community Student Living, a unified mobile-first ecosystem designed for off-campus student housing operators. The solution integrates hardware, mobile credentials and software partners to create an interoperable environment connecting campus and community living spaces. At its core is Schlage's Resident Key, available in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, enabling students to access residences, amenities and campus facilities via iPhone, Apple Watch, Android phones and Wear OS smartwatches. The platform aims to address challenges including compressed turnover cycles and disconnected technology systems. Earlier this year, Allegion partnered with Preiss, IRIS Technologies and Quext to deploy the nation's first off-campus student housing mobile wallet experience at The Collective at Norman, serving University of Oklahoma students. BofA cuts Allegion target to $150 on weak Q1 results and lower sector multiples

BofA has lowered its price target for Allegion plc to $150 from $157, maintaining a Neutral rating following weaker-than-expected first-quarter performance and lower sector multiples. The security products company reported $1.03 billion in revenue for Q1 2026, up 9.7% year-on-year. However, adjusted earnings per share fell 3.2% to $1.80. Operating income declined 0.6% to $195.3 million, whilst both operating margin (18.9%) and adjusted operating margin (21.2%) decreased from the previous year. CEO John H. Stone highlighted strong revenue growth in the Americas' non-residential and electronics businesses. Allegion operates through two segments: Allegion Americas and Allegion International, providing security products and solutions.
