Senior Construction Project Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY

GeoStabilization International doesn't hire project managers to keep projects on track — we hire leaders who redefine what "on track" should look like. As Senior Project Manager, you will own a portfolio of high-value, high-complexity geohazard mitigation programs from the front, setting the strategic tempo for the teams and clients who depend on your judgment. This is a role built for someone who has already outgrown "managing" and is ready to lead.

We're not looking for someone who executes a plan well. We're looking for someone who builds the plan, anticipates the failure points three moves ahead, and has the discipline and resilience to see it through when conditions get hard — because in this industry, they will.

• Adequate: hits scope, schedule, budget. Excellent: does that while creating a repeatable system others adopt.
• Adequate: communicates status. Excellent: shapes executive decisions with clear, data-backed judgment.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Set strategic direction for complex, high-value programs, translating organizational priorities into portfolio-level execution.
• Take full ownership of planning, resourcing, and delivery across multiple concurrent projects — scope, schedule, and budget are outcomes you're accountable for, not boxes you check.
• Operate as a strategic partner to executive leadership, shaping portfolio priorities and long-range business objectives.
• Develop the next generation of project management leadership — mentoring PMs into the disciplined, accountable operators GSI needs to scale.
• Drive clear, credible communication across internal teams, clients, and external partners, especially when the news is hard.
• Own risk before it owns the project: monitor leading indicators, intervene early, and deliver executive-level reporting that drives decisions rather than just describing them.
• Lead process and change initiatives that raise the standard for the entire PM function — not just your own portfolio.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Credentials get you a look. Judgment, resilience, and trajectory get you the job.

• A track record of leading complex, multi-disciplinary, or strategic construction projects — 8+ years is the floor, not the qualifier that matters most.
• PMP required (PMP a strong signal of strategic range); a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, master's preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound calls under ambiguity and constraint — and to own the outcome either way.
• A pattern of developing people, not just projects: evidence you've built PMs who went on to lead.
• A data-driven, analytical approach to decisions, paired with the communication skill to bring others along.
• Evidence of extreme ownership — you don't wait for the org chart to tell you what's yours to fix.

WHERE THIS ROLE LEADS

This is explicitly a leadership-track role. We are looking for someone whose ceiling extends beyond Senior Project Manager — someone with a credible runway to Director or VP of Project Management as GSI's portfolio scales. If you're looking for a role that tops out where it starts, this isn't it.

Our Project Managers live in the regions where we work and travel up to 40% to get to projects.
