Requirements
  • A master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
  • A current, independent New York State clinical license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • At least 3 years of post-graduate clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience providing evidence-based, trauma-informed, and integrative behavioral health care.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, treatment planning, and behavioral health quality and compliance standards.
  • Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision to staff working toward independent licensure.
  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to licensed clinicians as assigned.
  • Support the clinical development, training, and professional growth of the outpatient clinical team.
  • Provide clinical guidance and consultation regarding client care, treatment planning, documentation, and clinical risk.
  • Support clinical interns and their development throughout their placement.
  • Maintain a small clinical caseload and provide clinical coverage as needed.
  • Conduct clinical chart audits, group audits, and other clinical tracers to support quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Support onboarding and clinical training for new outpatient clinicians, including electronic health record training.
  • Collaborate with Practice Managers and the Outpatient Clinical Supervisor on clinical programming, team needs, and quality initiatives.
  • Participate in team meetings and other departmental initiatives as needed.
  • Ensure group coverage for all paid time off.
  • Support the Practice Manager in facilitating team meetings as needed.
  • Support the Director of Outpatient Services in providing staff support at other outpatient locations, if needed.
  • Support the Practice Manager and Business Development in building relationships with providers and referral sources for the team’s location.
  • Participate in media opportunities in support of the Marketing Team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in substance use disorder and/or co-occurring mental health treatment.
  • Prior clinical supervision experience.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision, consultation, or mentorship to behavioral health clinicians.
  • A Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor credential or another substance use disorder credential.
