Responsibilities
- Oversee Engineering Support for capital projects to upgrade or expand facilities and equipment. Ensure proper planning, budgeting, design, execution, and documentation
- Oversee Technical/facilities side of compliance of global sites relative to applicable US and International regulatory agencies including OSHA, FDA, and EMA
- Oversee GEP activities including engineering document management
- Take lead in development of Standard Engineering Specifications and Basis of Design for building projects
- Provide site alignment on the prioritization and justification of system capital projects to best meet the needs of the Company
- Assess gaps in Facilities and Engineering processes and procedures and develops a plan to drive improvements
- Construct draft-budgets, manage approved budgets, oversee hiring activities and approve all work-related travel for the Department
- Assess project plans and timelines and assign and manage staff effectively to ensure all projects are appropriately prioritized and key goals are met on time
- Balance degrees of innovative exploration with pursuit of project objectives, and coordinate acquisition of new capabilities, as appropriate
- Assess and develop the skills, competencies, and resources available within the Engineering and Facilities Teams to ensure delivery of corporate goals and objectives
- Effectively work with cross department team leaders to achieve project and corporate goals

- Ensure that the staff have development/ training plans and make progress relative to their plans
- Counsel and advise senior management on status of global Infrastructure Engineering strategies, tactics, policies, procedures and practices as required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering
- Project and construction management experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech, lab environment
- Minimum 15 year's experience in facilities design/operations and real estate management, including experience with corporate headquarters, support facilities and managing multiple world-wide locations
- Minimum 10 years personnel management experience
