- Secondary education in a technical or business field or practical manufacturing management experience.
- Experience with or knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of manufacturing shipping and receiving processes.
- Ability to operate different types of powered industrial trucks or willingness to be trained.
- First responder certification with training in basic first aid and CPR/AED.
- Basic technical knowledge of New Pig products and processes.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Lead the day-to-day activities of the hourly production team to work safely, produce quality products, and meet customer requirements.
- Act as the working leader of the third-shift manufacturing production team.
- Ensure production meets internal or external customer demands while following standards related to environmental health and safety, people contribution, quality, delivery, production control, and equipment efficiency.
- Lead the production team to meet daily production scheduling requirements while ensuring products comply with standard work and quality requirements.
- React quickly to and resolve problems encountered during production.
- Lead weekly shift meetings and other information-sharing activities as needed.
- Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
- Update daily production reports and status updates.
- Adhere to the company's safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Experience with shop-floor management software on PC-based platforms, such as Factory Tracker, Flow, Syteline, or Trend.
