Requirements
  • Experience with manual machining and welding processes.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic cylinder construction and repair.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and apply precise measurements.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar and Original Equipment Manufacturer specifications is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills to utilize Caterpillar SIS 2.0 (Parts and technical information) and company-related systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Responsibilities
  • Operate manual lathes and milling machines to fabricate and repair hydraulic components.
  • Perform welding and fabrication of cylinder rods and barrels.
  • Use precision measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Disassemble and inspect components for repair or reusability.
  • Prepare surfaces for machining and welding through polishing, honing, and cleaning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and measurements taken.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Secure all equipment and complete required paperwork at the end of shift.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
