Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid State of Georgia driver's license.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license or state-issued identification to carry at all times.
  • Must be available for special shifts, including third shift and weekends when required by location needs.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memoranda; write simple correspondence; and present information effectively in one-on-one situations to customers and employees.
  • Must be able to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using American currency.
  • Must maintain a neat and clean appearance and complete uniform at all times.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to handle cash and equipment, sit, climb or balance, and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate before starting work in College Park, Georgia.
  • Must have two years of assistant manager experience is preferred.
  • A Medical Department of Transportation card is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise the hourly shuttle bus drivers and courtesy cart drivers for the Park and Ride division.
  • Manage drivers, dispatchers, coordinators, and fleet maintenance daily.
  • Inspect supervised employees' uniforms daily for compliance with the uniform policy and dress code.
  • Assign or reassign hourly employees to work areas or vehicles.
  • Verify and document callouts hourly.
  • Adjust schedules as necessary to fulfill minimum staffing requirements.
  • Administer appropriate discipline for policy or collective bargaining agreement violations.
  • Complete daily bus audits.
  • Dispatch as needed.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company vehicles at shift changes.
  • Ensure vehicles are fueled promptly.
  • Monitor and communicate via radio throughout the shift.
  • Visually inspect locations for compliance with company goals.
  • Report maintenance issues to the Fleet and Operations Manager.
  • Perform random checks for required driver’s licenses and company-issued badges.
  • Assist with processing exception transactions.
  • Conduct regular facility and equipment inspections to ensure proper maintenance and stocking with tickets and receipt paper.
  • Respond to customer service-related issues according to company guidelines.
  • Monitor and implement effective safety procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of company policies, procedures, and the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Direct traffic to available parking.
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner.
  • Disseminate information to other departments and employees as needed.
  • Complete weekly time samples for shuttle operations.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Medical Department of Transportation card is preferred.
  • Two years of assistant manager experience is preferred.
