Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of all areas of responsibility.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Assembly Technician – Level 3 or equivalent experience from another assembly position.
  • Mechanical and electrical understanding of multiple product lines, including the ability to work on electrical and mechanical assemblies with limited support on two platforms.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components and sub-assemblies during tool installation and integration.
  • Ability to review drawings and specifications and discuss conceptual applications of tool design and layout with Engineering or other applicable personnel.
  • An associate degree in electrical and/or mechanical technology is preferred but not required.
  • Limited travel is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform core job responsibilities while leading others in related tasks and responsibilities.
  • Determine and continuously improve processes and procedures that promote safety, customer service, quality, and productivity.
  • Help coordinate and facilitate departmental work and coordinate workflow with the Production Supervisor.
  • Work in multiple environments, generally contributing to multiple platforms in tandem.
  • Mentor and train associates in best work practices.
  • Work with the Supervisor to ensure smooth material flow to designated projects and maintain equipment and tools supporting product manufacture.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical technical issues related to tool builds, sub-assemblies, spare parts, and customer returns.
  • Set work priorities, assign tasks to personnel, ensure quality workmanship, ensure employees are engaged and productive, and report schedule risks to the Supervisor to achieve expected customer delivery dates.
  • Perform tool checkout and complete all required documentation.
  • Interface with Field Service and customers as required.
