Requirements
  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Working toward or already possessing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year institution.
  • Maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Submitting a resume and cover letter combined into one PDF, along with completion of the Suited profile and assessment.
  • Demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail, business acumen, creativity, customer experience management, customer relationship management, effective communication, leadership, management of multiple priorities, ownership, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
  • Represent the firm throughout the entire client engagement with substantial exposure to clients and senior bankers.
  • Participate in recruiting initiatives, mentorship programming, and efforts to generate new client engagements.
  • Attend the initial training program in Richmond to build relationships, develop baseline M&A knowledge, and prepare for the first client engagement.
  • Respond promptly to emails and calls in an on-call, in-office role.
  • Clarify deadlines as needed and stay aligned with the team on active workstreams and upcoming tasks.
  • Quality-check personal and teammates' work to ensure accuracy before submitting it through the reporting chain.
  • Seek feedback during and after completion of key deliverables.
  • Work ahead by identifying next steps instead of waiting for direction.
  • Articulate thoughts and ideas verbally and in writing to teammates from the first day.
  • Participate in internal and external discussions as directed by the deal team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Understanding of Excel formulas, data validation, macros, tables, and conditional formatting.
  • Working understanding of how the income statement, cash flow statement, and balance sheet connect, with willingness to deepen subject matter expertise over time.
  • Ability to identify trends in data and articulate the impact of those patterns.
  • Participation in sports, student-led organizations, or work experience while completing a degree.
