Requirements
  • Applicants will ideally be educated to Master of First Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or physics.
  • Knowledge of analogue electronics, op-amps etc
  • An understanding of system electronics, control and instrumentation
  • RF and Microwaves basics
  • Awareness of semiconductor devices
  • Good analytical and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work both autonomously and with a small team
  • Good use of Microsoft office, particularly Excel and power point.
Responsibilities
  • Design and construction of prototype electronics and RF h/w including RF plasma delivery systems generators and matching units, RF MU circuitry, networks, transformers, filters, RF electrode circuitry, isolation and filter circuits DC bias handling, PCB design package.
  • Plasma modelling including Electromagnetic modelling of Radio Frequency coupling
  • EMC design and mitigation in RF system emissions
  • Operation RF test equipment oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, network analysers, RF diagnostic probes.
  • Originate reports, manuals and training documentation
  • Keep up to speed on industry and competitors RF system approaches
  • Maintain electrical/electronic laboratory
  • Attend conferences
  • Provide advice and help with field problem solving including field trips at customer sites
  • Operate KLA products
  • Enforce the H & S & environmental policy
